What is the Santa Experience?
This is a personalized private session for your family. You set up the time of your session, and do not have to wait in line to see Santa for a quick photo printed on site like at a mall. Santa will know your children's names, and has up to 20 different things to do with the kids based upon their age and responses. They may go over their Christmas letter to Santa. Santa may read a book to them. Santa may have the children help him decorate the tree. Show the children where the North Pole is on the globe, where the kids live, and how far away they are from Santa. Santa may ask if they have been good and if they think they are on the naughty or nice list. Santa may even help tuck in the tiniest kids to bed! Each session is different and personal to each family.
Do I have to pre-register and pre-pay online?
Yes. There is a limited number of these sessions available for one day only. Once the sessions are gone that is it for this year.
How many people can I bring to the session?
The family session is designed for the immediate family members. Mom, Dad, Siblings, Grandparents. There is not a limit or extra cost for the number of children or people at the session. You can have one child or 7 children. Keep in mind that the more people in the room or with Santa means less individual time for the children with Santa. If you have a large family you may want to consider booking and paying for 2 session times back to back.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately not to the Santa Experience. I will be having Santa Pet Sessions available on November 20th, 2021
Why can't I wait till the day of to show up and get a session?
There are special surprises and things that need to be planned, ordered, and prepared for in advance of the sessions. There is not enough time the day of to prepare for a new family session. There may be no sessions available either and then kids may be disappointed. Also that defeats the purpose of not having to stand in line and wait like at the mall to take a quick picture and be rushed along.
What is the cost of the session?
There are 3 pre-paid Santa Experience Packages to choose during pre-registration. Packages start at $125+tax
There is additional Basic Santa Portrait Package available as well for those who just want 1 image in December (DTBD) for $50+tax
What if I am not sure what session type I want yet?
You can pre-register at the $125 session and decide to upgrade at the actual session (if space and time is available) or when you see your proofs.
How do I see my proofs?
You will set up an Image Reveal Appointment within 1-2 weeks after your Santa Experience. At that appointment you will choose your favorite images from your Santa Experience. (The number of proofs depend on which Santa Experience you choose and the interaction of the kids with Santa)
I signed up for the Ultimate session but I think I want the Basic session now. Is it too late to switch?
Yes. When you book the session you are reserving that time with those activities and no one else can book that spot. If you are unsure of the session you want I would suggest starting with the Basic one and then upgrading the day of if it's available.
What if there is a family emergency or my kid is sick the day of the event?
While there are no refunds for this event, if you have a honest family emergency (not I don't feel like going today or my child is throwing a fit, etc.) You can apply the payment as a credit to a future family session with me if I am available. Keep in mind though that session won't involve Santa and my schedule is very limited for sessions through the end of the year.
What if my child cries or is scared?
That may happen and Santa is well trained on how to deal with shy/upset/cranky/moody children. If all else fails and the child is pouting or crying it makes for some hilarious images to look back on and share with future spouses lol.
What should my children and/or family wear?
That is totally up to you! Adults do not have to be in the picture with Santa, however, they may want to be dressed up anyways in case a child is nervous and mom or dad have to hold them in their lap near Santa. Also if you are looking for a great portrait for a family Christmas Card, at the end of the session we can leave time to take the "traditional" look and smile family photo. Cute ideas are matching outfits (either casual or Sunday best dressed up depending on your family's style) or pajamas.
We really don't want an experience...just the traditional sit and smile with Santa portrait.
